Great product, fantastic shipping. No problems what so ever. I would buy these again in a heart beat. The cable shown in the picture is exactly what I got. Works great, plugs in to everything great.
All in all a good experience. Hooked up properly and securely (one end hangs from TV vertically WRT gravity, other plugs in horizontally WRT gravity). Sound is great. At first i purchased quickly without reading reviews as part of my new HTIB buy (Onkyo HT-S5200 7.1-Channel Home Entertainment Receiver/Speaker Package (with Dock for the iPodĀ®) Black). I would purchase from again without worries. This made me skeptical. After the impulse buy i saw some people were having trouble with the cable fitting correctly into components. However, cable arrived in great condition.
One day I was moving things around, unplugged the cable, plugged it in a few minutes later, and.my receiver gave an error indicating it couldn't understand the signal. The cable arrived quickly and felt very high quality. So a word to the wise: if you get this, curl it in a relatively big 6" loop so you won't end up with the same problem I did. I plugged in another cable and it worked fine. It bends more easily and at a greater angle than most optical cables, which perplexed me since I'd read that fiber optic cables stop working if bent (see "numerical aperture"). In any case I installed it and it worked perfectly for about 6 months.
Will rate it A+ I know other reviews say that this product might fit loose but I did not see this problem with the connection for my home theater and cable box.
Had mine in about 4 days for $2.99 from Eforcity, NO PROBLEMS. Does what a optical audio cable should do. Connected mine from my TV to the receiver, now I truly have dolby 5.1 Surround when watching regular tv shows, instead of just stereo ( changed the red and white audio out to the optical cable).
